Richard's mum came home last night and the first thing she showed me was this! :D I've always wanted try one on. I accidentally came across his mum's Hanbok a couple of months ago and she even let me try it on and i fell in love with them even more :D I now have my very own Hanbok all the way from South Korea! It's so gorgeous. The vibrant colours, the fabric and everything else about it. It came in a set complete with the pendant, head accessory, shoes and bag :D

We also made macarons filled with whipped cream and mango the other day. Tasted just like mango pudding, yummy!

Pretty much done with my christmas shopping today :) Can't believe christmas is merely a week away then comes 2012. Couldn't help but spoiled myself with an early xmas present! I fell in love with them as soon as it came out in the S/S 11' collectin but didn't think they'd suit me. Infact the boy couldn't stop laughing at me when i first tried them on :( but i simply adore them! <3

Wet Summer

Usually this time of the year it's sizzling hot in Sydney but this time around it's been gloomy, wet and cold. Sounds much more like winter than summer i've been anticipating. On monday we took a drive to Chatswood to hunt down a chin-up bar for the boy. Along the way we stopped by Daiso. Daiso comes from Japan bringing its customers quality products at a minute price of $2.80 ranging from homewares to makeup. If i remember correctly, Melbourne have one or a few stores already and this one here in Chatswood is the first in Sydney. It's also located conveniently opposite to Westfield. I picked up a mechanical eyebrow liner, concealer pen and, a couple of other things such as a drawing pad and little craft stamps that you punch shapes out of (can't remember what they are called) for my little sister whilst the boy got excited finding thinning scissors for $2.80. Although the price is great, i'm not quite sure about the quality. Sure, it's cheap but will it work as well and last as long as what you usually use? Richard's sister picked up a bottle of the liquid foundation and an eyebrow liner aswell. The liquid foundation although in the second darkest shade (they don't have testers) was way too light as she was a bit tanned. Also the eyebrow liner was almost a thin as the lead in a mechanical pencil that it snapped when she tried it on however the one i got was a bit better. I got the concealer stick in the second lightest shade as my skin is quite pale and that was also too light for me. I would go back to Daiso but am yet to switch anything up.

That aside i did a bit more christmas shopping and the boy ended going for something else other than the chin-up bar and he's loving it. He ended up getting the Tower200 to work out on and won't leave it alone ever since he installed it on to his door! We lunched at New Shanghai in Chatswood Chase. Richard loves his xiao long baos :D The food so yum yum in my tum :)

Today was another rainy day. Sat down and enjoy some warm croquettes at Strathfield. I was craving so bad for some roti buns but the boyfriend stopped me. Instead we headed to Manmaruya to fill ourselves up for dinner. We took the opportunity to also drop by the new Ikea in Tempe. It appeared to be so humungous on the outside. It was much bigger than the one in Homebush Bay yet it to us it felt the same. We got there at about 8:30pm, 30 minute before closing time. I thought it would've taken us longer to make it through the store but we were done with the displays in 15 minutes and the lower level in 10 minutes. It was probably because we were walking through it so quickly that it felt so small. I was mainly after one thing. The Pepparkaka Hus! Last time me and Amy went to Homebush Bay hoping to find their gingerbread house kit but got there only to find out they are only for sale during christmas time so this time i had to get my hands on a set to make with the boyfriend. I spotted a similar kit in Kmart the other day for $15 ($6.99 for Ikea Family members) so why not pick one up and get into the xmas spirit :D

My, how the year has passed so quickly this year in the blink of an eye. It's already December, the time of giving and celebrating the birth of Christ is approaching us. I have a lot to be thankful for and will keep continuing to strive to do my best in whatever it may be.

Spoilt myself a little bit with two MAC lipglosses (Show Me! & Curvaceous), Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick (Beach), Clinique Chubby Stick (Woppin' Watermelon) as well as stocking up on Bobbi Brown's pressed powder and trying out the Clinique concealer. I'm in lurvee with the Chubby stick after hearing about it from TiffanyD, i decide to drop by the counter after work to see what shades they had and ended up getting one on the spot. It resembles the Crayola crayon so much :D

This is going to be a photo spam post so WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY. So much has happened since i last blogged properly, actually not much really :) Finally rounded up my friends last friday for a small dinner at Chat Thai Westfield for my 21st. I missed the company of these awesome people so it was good to see them and the food was great though service was meh. I didn't get many pictures of the food, twas too busy filling my stomach up but i'd definitely go back there! Thank you lovelies for coming! <3

On our own, my boyfriend celebrated my 21st with me with dinner at Braza Churrascaria for the all-you-can-eat brazilian bbq in Darling Quarter. I remember Amy recommending that i go try the one in Leichhardt awhile back but when the Darling Quarter complex opened we kept walking past it as we park there when we're in the city on weekends. Please don't mind the dirty plate :)

The night before on my actual birthday after work, Richard sat me down and pulled out not only one bag but THREE, one after another! He pulled a sneaky on me that i usually do on him :D

Mac have a new range out yet again! Up until recently i never knew they released new products almost every fortnight or so and from then on i've been paying abit more attention to their emails. What i'm most interested in the new Ice Parada holiday range are the limited edition brush, lip and eye sets. If i'm luckily i might just grab one or even two of these >< I'd most likely go for the brush sets as the ones i'm using atm aren't really doing their job very well. There are also a few of the lip sets which are more neutral, colours i'd use more often than the more extravagant ones.

On a side not, i haven't been updating much but i've got a couple of photos waiting on the camera to be transferred on to my mac so when i have time, i will get right into it :D

Been MIA for a little while, but second semester of 2011 has just commenced and i'm already behind. Been sick for almost two weeks with indigestion then the cold :( Though i did get my korean buffet and wollamssam dosage just this week so i'm still a happy chap. This semester will definitely be much more hectic. Korean has jumped from me cruising through last semester to me freaking out after missing a week's worth of work. Advertising seems quite interesting this semester as well so i'm hoping it will stay that way however i'm definitely not looking forward to my core courses. I never do. 30+ pages of reading plus 5 pages of questions for one tute prep.. what do they think we are? -_-'

I let myself go abit too this past month :( The perfume smells so goddamn nice though so i had to get it :D

Stuck at home with indigestion, i even missed out the opportunity to binge on korean buffet last night :( as ordered by the doctor, i am not allowed to intake anything sweet, oily and acidic.. anymore? Luckily i've been free the last two days to stay warm and cosy in bed. Winter is doing me no good, summer please come soon!

On a brighter note, both Richard and i got through this semester with no disappointments so i'm quite happy. I was pretty sure i was screwed for one of my units but in actual fact i didn't do too bad :D Now i just need to fix up my timetable and i'm set for semester two!In the next remaining week of my break from uni, i must fit in time to watch Transformers 2 (quite delayed, i know) and the last installment of the Harry Potter films which started airing today over here. A visit to the fish markets, get my dose of korean bbq and sushi train. Mmmmm...

Scored these Tony Bianco darlings for $120 down from $190 :D So i was a happy chap! I've been so caught up with assessments, my head has been done in. I've still got two major writing pieces and thankfully only one final exam to do. Please kill me. I had my first korean speaking exam on the past Monday and im quite please to say i didn't do too bad (i hope). Went first out of the all the students in the Korean Beginner A course, only because i was last to choose so it was either noon of 8:55 in the morning so it wasn't too bad. Kinda felt nice to go in first for once and set the inital standard ;) I kid, i kid. I just finished writing up a 1000 word practice feature article. I cannot express how much i hate the journalism aspect in my degree but study is study. One very short phone call did make my day today. Just when i've lost hope :D My not-so-much of a surprise for Richard also arrived on Thursday morning to my doorstep. I had already told him before it arrived, i get so excited 'attempting' to surprise him. Not sure if he's going to post the photos up but here's a sneak peek.

In the past couple of days, Richard and i have been reminiscing the time we've spent together and it really brings back a lot of memories ever since we got together almost 4 years ago. At times, i'm asking myself how did we manage to get this far? I never thought of how long we'd last or when i was going to get sick of him. I guess that's something that only happens when you're with someone that you're happy and so comfortable with, enjoying every single minute of their company. But in saying that, to think back.. we did quite a lot of stupid things which we now laugh off and there are things we did that we don't laugh off but at the same time don't regret. We laugh, we fight, we cry and we smile and have grown together. I'm very thankful for his presence in my life even though i can be very mean and stubborn at times, he's always been there trying to keep me happy. I'm so happy i have you in my life :D

Finally remember to pick this shade of polish up from Kit Cosmetics courtesy of last month's STYD. I've been overwhelmed with group presentations and assessments that i've had no time to blog or take any pictures and over the weekend, i've come down with a cold so bare with me just for a bit.

I will be making my uni timetable for next semester tomorrow and it's daunting me that it's getting closer and closer to that period where i should be looking to gain some hands-on knowledge with internships and whatnot. I still wonder if i've decided on the right degree, especially with people i've met since finishing high school saying how cut-throat the competition in PR is. Part of me likes to think what i've gone with is the right thing. The right thing being i choose with the fact in mind that it's something i want to do, something i like to do and something i will always have fun doing. That's what it's supposed to be like, isn't it? To end up in a position where i love my career and enjoy doing what i'll be doing, not to find it boring and having no sense of direction. It's not just my future career that gotten me thinking though. Relationships, daily habits, friends and family have all been up in my head.

On a side note, i'm set on finding the perfect winter boots. I've always survived through out winter with flats and im so accustomed to wearing my havaianas everywhere that the chilly weather in Sydney has gotten to me. Having extra small feet doesn't help either :(

The Zara opening night is on tonight and im so excited :D Gah, i've been waiting so long, i recall scouring the internet for any for news as soon as i heard rumors that it was coming to Sydney. Having not been overseas for god knows how long, i haven't been able to get my hands on any Zara pieces except for a white dress shirt which my sister got me on her last trip overseas. She kindly visited many stores but all of the things i wanted were sold out :( I came across this video of ACA covering the Zara debut which can be found here. Hopefully i'll be able to get some pictures and grab some pieces before the hurd begins on Wednesday morning where it officially opens up to the public.

On another note, my first pair of Acne jeans came!

Dragged myself to the Sass & Bide Sydney warehouse sale last thursday even though i knew the stock was probably not that great and i was right. The sales have definitely gotten worse compared to the last time i visit a year ago. I did however manage to rack up $160 worth: two pairs of denim shorts ($30 each), the skirt i've been searching for for $70 and a tee for $50.

Helped Anna and her uni mates with their focus group last friday and had thai at Capitol in the city.

Worst salad ever. Preserved crab wasn't even preserved, it was raw.

I went on a hunt for a new makeup bag since the one i had was getting jam-packed so i invested in one just for $4.95. Love the pockets so i can now fit brushes in. I got that from Sportsgirl and picked up a mouse pad from Kikki.k as well.

There was a double rainbow whilst i was on the way home with my sisters but unfortunately it when away too quick and before we knew, it started raining so this is all i got :(

Paid a visit to Castle Hill Towers on tuesday as the boy needed to goto the Apple store for a browse. We walked out with two big boxes and a big hole in a wallet. I kept the third little box so i can now FaceTime him without having to do it via my macbook.

This week was a disaster as i needed to sit myself down and make a huge decision regarding my study that would affect the next couple of years of my life. At first i was completely sure then after realising the consequences, i was left completely confused. Now that i've decided, my mind is at ease but at the back of mind i'm just hoping and praying that i don't stuff up because i've already done that once and have regretted it ever since why i didn't go with my instincts to go with that i like doing.

First week of uni is over and i'm not very excited for the next week as tutorials also commence. I had my first Korean lecture and thoroughly enjoyed it so there's something to look forward to every week. My communication and journalism core units are as per usual boring as hell. Worst part of the week is my contextual study for Korean, i'm practially having two tutorials for the one unit not to mention 3 tutorials and the supposedly lecture with no breaks that day.

On the brighter side, i took myself on a trip to Pitt St. mall after my lecture and chit-chat with Carmen on her break at uni. Originally i set out to hunt down the new shades of Ulta3 nail polishes except i went on a binge. They aren't stocked everywhere so i figured instead of waiting until i had a free day to go to Roselands or Pennant Hills, i should just looking in the City. The ones in the photos above are the new colours, 6 out of the 9 i bought. I got three more last night while out in Strathfield with the boy. The quality of the Ulta3 polishes are so good for the price which varies from $2 to $3.50 (i got mine for $2.25), depending on where you get them. I don't own any OPI or any other branded nail polishes but i have tried my sisters and the quality isn't that much of a difference. Two coats and you're good plus i cannot justify paying $20+ for a bottle of nail polish that's going to be used up in no time. So Ulta3 does a great job and is much more affordable, that being you get around 8 bottles for the equivalent to 1 bottle of OPI polish.

Stocked up a couple of basics for winter as well at Supre for $5 each. Apparently the one on George St. is closing down and moving in with the one inside Westfield hence the massive sale. There's piles and piles of clothing everywhere on the bottom and top levels, so dig in ladies! :)

Something motivational (not really) to start the semester off which commences tomorrow. The day i've been dreading since i finished my last exam for 2010 some three months ago is here. In fact, it is quite frightening to think that i only have two years of study left until i'll be off into the work force and earning a living of my own. Study hard elaine, study hard!

First thing you would have noticed is the new layout. Couldn't stand the old one anymore since it felt too cramped up every time i looked at it. Minimal it is! Good night and happy studying :)

Valentine's Day went very well this year. It was a bit last minute but it was all good! I met up with the boy in the afternoon in the City. The only clues i got the night before was dark, black and an experience. He made it very hard for me to guess just with those three clues. Confused and a couple of minutes later, we ended up in the Gold Class lounge at the cinemas waiting for Black Swan to start. It was really unexpected but i did remember him saying to me that i had previously said to him it was something we should try at least once. I really enjoyed the Gold Class experience with the Valentine's package he booked which comprised of two glasses of pink Mascato, a shared platter and Lindt dessert to top it off. We also ordered beef Nachos on the side but the platter was definitely a winner over that. I would definitely choose to go Glod Class in the future again yet only with a package otherwise it's too costly. We exchanged out gifts after the film in the lounge. I had already gotten him a Superdry coat the other day which he happy took home with him and knowing i'd feel a bit empty handed on the day i also I got him a card added a bit off personal touch to it plus a pack of 1kg mini Reese's peanut butter cups to satisfy his love for them. His reaction when he received them was more than i had anticipated :D We took a stroll around King St. wharf before topping the day off with some blended green tea.

Browsing through Revolve, i stumbled upon these from the Y-3 line and my jaw dropped. These are actually BROGUES! I almost immediately thought these were men's but they are in fact for women. Too bad though, my tiny feet would never fit into them.

I'm also kicking myself that i didn't cave in and get the Alexander Wang Daria when i saw it one sale on the Outnet for a little over US$400 (RRP US$800+) at 50% off the other day. Turns out there was a glitch and it was discounted a further 25% off coming to $200 :'(

I'm a bit late but nonetheless, happy Chinese New Year! I celebrated mine with dinner at Golden Century as per usual with family. The past week or so has been filled with numerous brunches over yumcha, walks around the city, a trip to Ikea, Connoisseur binges, snuggling up to finally watch Life As We Know It and Pretty Little Liars and of course my sworn enemy, 38+ degree weather. Strange how the weather is extremely hot one day and freezing the next, i shouldn't be complaining as i'm praying for autumn to put a stop to hot, sticky days.

My trip to Ikea consisted of me picking up a chest of Vika drawers to go with my new desk and prompted me to contemplated whether i should also grab the cutlery drainer i saw the last time i was there with Amy. For $3, what the heck and it actually sits on my desk pretty well with my pens and brushes so i'm a happy chap :D

The boy is currently on a yumcha high hence all the yumcha and the other day he decided that we should attempt to finish a whole litre of Connoisseur ice-cream in one go. Thankfully, we weren't getting strange looks in the midst of the hustle and bustle at the food court in Burwood. And yes. we failed miserably but at $4.50 a tub, it was a banging bargain!

Lastly, my baby sister has finally started school just last week. It was a tear-jerking moment seeing her all dressed up in her uniform and bag on. She's grown up so quickly and i sound like a mother already LOL You can't really see but she's got her red hat on walking to school on her first day with mum.

On our trek into the city yesterday for some yumcha with the boy, we managed to finally sit down at Ichiban Boshi for the first time with quick meal before we headed home. We were quite surprised that it took us a while before we started asking ourselves why we have never tried the place before but i'm quite glad that we didn't miss out much. Since we were used to having ramen over at Wagaya, we weren't very keen with the ramen and beek tataki at Ichiban. The flavours in the ramen where slightly different: the Tantan was a bit salty, the Shio butter and corn wasn't as flavoursome and lastly, the beef was seared too much and ginger in the beef tataki made it taste funny. There is one exception and that is you get your money's worth due to the very generous servings which is probably why it's so popular.

We went for dinner tonight at Manmaruya tonight even though the boy suggested we go to Ashin, the new Japanese restaurant opened by the same people at Sejong Korean buffet restaurant. Only because we would get more for our money's worth so we ended up being two happy chaps walking with our stomachs very full.

I've been eyeing a couple of sass & bide pieces lately most likely because of the sales. I've been kicking myself for adoring them earlier now that most of them sold out. After hunting around, i was fortunate enough to find the skirt i was dying for in my size. I wouldn't usually get sucked in by sass & bide with their ridiculous prices but i'm so happy with this purchase, i love it to bits!

I'm a bit late but happy new years! :) I'm looking forward to this year being the beginning of great things to come. I haven't posted for over a month and i think i'm already getting a bit rusty :( The sales are still going strong since boxing day but i'm proud to say that this year i actually resisted myself from going on impulsive shopping trips except for the pair of new kicks i got before christmas came.

Saw the boy yesterday and he surprised me with these babies in the signature a teal coloured box wrapped with white ribbon, i was speechless that he went all the way into the city all by himself to do this :D

On another note, thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the floods in Queensland. May the rain stop and let everyone move on to rebuild what they once had :(

I finally finished my end of semester exams, not that it went on for a long period of time or that i had many (only two) but it just feels so good to see the light at the end the tunnel. I was furiously tracking the status since friday and it's finally arrived! What a great start to the summer holidays, hope the dollar goes back up soon enough. I've never kept such a close eye on foreign exchange rates until this semester for for minor course and the recent appreciation of the Australian dollar :D

Headed to Ribs and Rumps (no pictures unfortunately) for the first time after much discussion over what to have for dinner with the gang last night. I loved the steak so much i'd go back for more except it was a bit on the tough side since it was little overcooked, we had asked for it to be done medium rare but nonetheless that's how Richard likes his steak so no complaints. We shared the mixed grill and were pretty satisfied it wasn't too filling :D

I'm supposed to be studying for my last exam tomorrow, but like always im putting off study to do things i enjoy a little more :( That is all for now, back to study.

The new Westfield is humungous that we were we left confused when we went on monday! So excited to be seeing that Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta are opening soon as well then i can finally motivate myself to save up and get the bag that has on my wish list for ages! We didn't really have a thorough walk around the place but hopefully when i finish my exams i'll be able to have a proper look :D We took advantage of the Sunglass Hut offer as well and took home two pairs of new sunnies since Richard's been wanting proper ones for the summer that's coming.

Now i'm craving for some pork and fennel sausage rolls from Bourke St.

The new Westfield in Pitt St has opened, well only stage one for now but it's good enough seeing as boutiques like Mulberry and Gap have arrived in Sydney. Can't wait 'til Zara drops early next year! From what the Vogue girls have said prices are alot higher than purchasing online :( There's supposedly 6 or 7 levels with the food court on level 5. I've been wanting to go since thursday and looks like i'll finally be paying a visit tomorrow and lunch at Justin North's new burge joint there with the boy :D

Today would have been our 4 year anniversary. I still remember the day you asked me out like it was yesterday. I remember it was a little foggy, and the ground was a bit wet, as we walked off the field and started talking. I remember the preceding days of us dancing around the topic, kind of flirting, but mostly being awkward. I remember last year you were in Washington, and that we had a video-date when you got back. I remember senior year, when Homecoming was on our anniversary. I was just looking at those pictures, and thinking about how much has changed since then. I remember all the butterflies you gave me, both in my tummy, and on a necklace. I remember sitting in your car in the parking lot when you gave me that diamond ring.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but that diamond ring was a perfect representation of our relationship - simple but beautiful. That was us. We never had drama. We never had unresolvable conflicts or disagreements. We were perfect puzzle pieces for each other. It took me a long time to take off that ring; I would take it off, put it back on, and then take it off again. But now, it is safely sitting in my jewelry box. Mid-semester break has finished and we went back to our stressful selves this week. Say, one week of break was not even a break if you're stuck with assessments though last saturday was delightful since we made a last minute decision to attend Richard's friends 21st superheroes dress-up party with his friends Joomin and Ephy. We didn't dress up but it was hilarous seeing the costumes (unfortunately no pictures), not to mention the open bar tab :D Other things on the agenda were grandma's house warming and birthday dinner, father's day, korean barbeque etc. and more but i won't go into too much detail. Finally had the opportunity to take a trip to Max Brenners last night after a simple but very satisfying dinner last night too!

Currently contemplating whether i should go Oktoberfest of not :/

More hanging out with the boyfriend last night after my mgmt mid-sem! We were starving and went local to Cafe Insomnia who do italian. Average food but great service and very generous servings, none of us cleaned out our plates tonight. Atmosphere was so-so, i couldn't enjoy the live jazz music due to loud chit-chatting around us.

Today was my beb's 21st and although he isn't one to celebrate with a whole bunch of people or follow traditions, his friends were thoughtful enough to travel to his place to hang out so pictures will be coming soon :) Happy birthday baby, i hope you like your present and had an awesome day. 91 Days of Spring

September is already here, so is the first day of Spring! My god time has passed so fast that a year is almost at it's end. Haven't been up to much lately though. On sunday morning i rounded up my sisters to support Camp Quality at their charity preview screening of Despicable Me 3D. It was a very enjoyable movie even Joey loved it and she normally gets a bit freaked out cause of the high volume they play the movie at. Although there was a downside leading to the beginning of the movie a little unpleasant. You have allocated seat numbers on your ticket: find them and sit there, it's as simple as that. Don't expect to be treated as if you were the queen and no, it's not first come first serve.. especially in a full session.

This past week, i could say was full of luck. Great things happened though i won't go into detail. I'm just extremely happy and thankful :) Bumped into some familiar faces yesterday when i tagged along with the boy to uni to fix some paper work up and in Parramatta, then jackpot! Zero had a sale on Superdry leather jackets. I've always wanted one for the fact that the material feels really niceit actually can keep you warm unlike the one i've already got from JayJays which does the job but this one does it better and i could not justify with the $460 price tag. The lovely boyfriend offered to get it for me so i was in glee! I got the white, too bad there was no black/chocolate brown plus the chances of it going on sale before it sells out are pretty slim.

I got my first assessment of the semester back and i quite happy to see a distinction :) Feedback for the second component of it seems pretty good as well so I really need to put my head down and do well this semester, speaking of which i should be studying for my mid-sem quiz :(

Richard's birthday is coming up really soon, can't wait! And here's some more random snaps :)

Bourke St Bakery

So we did end up dropping by Bourke St Bakery, followed by Harry's (yet again) yesterday after Richard drove me to uni to submit my first assessment of the semester. Let me just say that i can't believe four weeks of uni have flown passed already and i'm still in holiday mode. It was a mission to get to the location as Bourke St is a one way street, god knows where it begins. We almost missed it as it was so small and blended in with the rest of the Victorian terraces surrounding it. The pork and fennel sausage roll is to die for and i also really liked the beef brisket pie but a little more flavouring would have perfected it. We also tried the strawberry and vanilla tart like i wanted to and it was a bit of a let down. There was not sign of the crunch when you take the first bite and it tasted a lot more like cheesecake. All in all, it was worth the trip and try something new! More pictures ---> HERE

Having my all my attention focused on how i should organise myself for university this semester, i went astray keeping up with the food blog reading these few weeks but tonight i caved in. Nothing better than some food porn to relieve some stress ;) After we get this buffet of korean barbeque over and done with, let's get the fine dining rolling. There's too many places i want to try out, just thinking about it gets me excited and salivating. In the next week, i am hoping to make a trip to the much raved about, Bourke St Bakery. The strawberry vanilla brulee tart sounds so yummy. So hopefully we get around to it. I have my fingers and toes crossed for the sausage rolls and pies to be seriously good that way i'll always have an excuse for the boy to take us back there.

Nobody Really Knows

The boyf and i spared some time and headed to the theatres to watch Christopher Nolan's Inception this week. Not knowing what to expect, we were both blown away. All i can say is that this man is a legend and cannot wait for the third installment of Batman! Walking out of the cinemas, made us question if such events can really take place and what the boundaries our bodies and minds are. Did i mention that they could not have selected a better cast. At the end of the day, we were both so drained from putting on our thinking caps and consuming too much brain power throughout the movie.

Set out to pick up something nice for the boyf today after my lectures and what seemed like a quiet Foundation Day. This weather is disgusting and i can't wait for spring/summer to kick in. I found the cardigan he really wanted, last one! Stupid me decided it would be better if i placed it back on the rack just in case i find something nicer over at Adidas (Jeremy Scott!). So then that lead me on a wild hunt around the city. Settled with one size up, it didn't fit so we exchanged it for another cardigan with different details in the right size. Along the way, i scooped up yet another blazer. I wouldn't pay $500+ for one in the main designer line but at a fraction of the price, i fell for this Hi There blazer by Karen Walker :)

I'm still contemplating whether i should upgrade to the iPhone 4 or not, many thanks to the antenna dilemma. I don't think the use of 'bumpers' will do the problem any good and dislike the idea of having it on my phone for the next 24 months if it actually works but we'll have to see? I've got until 31 august to decide.. but i know i will be tempted by the new gadget.

So Richard decided to surprise me by coming down and treating me to some lunch. Lately he's been in to japanese cuisine, i don't know why though but nevertheless, more food for us! We lunched at Manmaruya where he loves his chicken katsu. Our appetites have completely switched, mine has decreased so much while he is eating or munching on something 24/7.

This boy never consumes anything fishy or raw, so proud of you! :D

Yesterday we took a trip to Chatswood for yumcha as well, but stupid me decided to surprise him by turning up at his place early in the morning instead of having him pick me up, shivering all the way there. Can't wait 'til summer comes around! Yumcha was utterly disappointing because we got a table, started eating a couple of dishes then they tell us they can't cook anything because of some noise problem to do with construction causing their cooking appliances to not work which didn't even make sense. The boy was looking forward to it so much, only to fill the rest of his tummy up with Subway.

Classes have commenced for the spring session this week. Thursdays filled with lectures doesn't sound so bad anymore. They are actually interesting in their own ways, well one of the two is. The other one is just plain bludgy only because you can hardly even make any notes with the surface on the table being so small my book slides off. I'm not really looking forward to management tomorrow.

Haven't really been up to much this week but it included late night runs to Wagaya for some ramen, steakhouse and more Harry's since the boy is hooked. Pictures can be found at his blog. Uni is commencing again next week, i dont feel like the holidays have been long enough although it's already been 2-3 weeks. I hope there's more i can look forward to this semester study wise seeing as one of my electives focus on PR and with my personal life, things lately haven't been all that smooth so fingers crossed!

After our first taste of the macrons from Adriano Zumbo's patisserie last week, we had to go back for more. What a better day to go than the day after his guest appearance on Masterchef the night before. When we got to Balmain there was already a line outside, luckily it wasn't that long. This time we only got the ones we liked in a box of 10, which was already enough for the two of us but they were like heaven when munching on them! MOCHA :D

On Wednesday night, the girls meet up for some catching up, churros and hot drinks at Glebe. They tasted like fries as Caroline said but better and they do taste better alone without the dark and milk chocolate dipping.

Celebrated our 3 years together with dinner in the city at Takeru and a trip to Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Woolloomooloo. Food wasn't as good as we expected it to be at Takeru and we got a bit lost on our way to Harry's. The Chilli dog sauce was extra chilli but the mash and gravy made up for it. All in all i'm very happy to have the opportunity to spend time with him last night. Thank you for putting up with me for the past 3 years :) xx

Went to Balmain on tuesday with Richard and dropped by Adriano Zumbo to try out the macarons. I've been craving for some since Callum made some in the Masterchef london challenge. We didn't know which ones to get so we ended up getting one of each of the ones available. Left to right, top to bottom: mocha, pumpkin and risotto, oatmeal and ylang ylang, blackened vanilla beans, beetroot and raspberry, chickpea lemon and caramel and lastly custard crunch which we gobbled up already. I really like the mocha one, need to get some more next time.

Anna, Bekki and myself headed to Eric's birthday event yesterday. While there were a lot of unfamiliar faces, it was good to see that there were some old faces which i haven't seen in ages, proves yet again how much things have changed.

It's July already! I didn't even realise time is passing so quickly. The next six months coming up are going to be hard so i really need to prepare myself.

Waterfront Grill + Korean BBQ Buffet

So the holidays have just begun and what better than to spend time with the ones you love :) On thursday night, Richard and i decided to head out to the city to dine on steak at our usual go to spot but instead we walked towards Darling Harbour to walk around the FIFA fan fest site and ended up having dinner there as well at Waterfront Grill. He was struggling to finish his pork ribs and the same with me and my 350g Angus rump.

Last night us girls (Amy, Anna and Caroline) spontaneously met up for some korean barbeque buffet at Hurstville. Luckily, we managed to finish all the meat we plated up for our table. Afterwards we spent what felt like forever catching up and talking about the past. I had so much fun girls, thank you so much! <3

Paris, La Perouse

As promised, Richard took me on a drive down to La Perouse after my last exam. Yay, i'm finally free :) It's been so long since i last visited. The first and last time would have been the fail excursion for french back in the junior years of high school with Anna and Caroline. Out of all days, the little museum there was closed so we all just had fish and chips then walked around on the beach. I miss how things were back then. So today we lunched at Paris seafood cafe, the fillet of fish on the plate was humongous like he said it was and so filling. It was good to get some fresh air in the cold breeze with the one you love after a load of stress but since i have a phobia of dark, unfamiliar places we left not long after and headed to the scenic lookout. It wasn't a really good look out really and it was pitch dark so no photos from that.

Instead of working hard preparing for my exam, i've been spending a lot of time with Richard. I guess after a few complications you realise how important that person is to you, just wanting to forget about the bad and how happy you can really be together. There isn't a day where i don't miss seeing him :)

We headed to Chatswood to get our dose of yumcha even though we did say we'd make a monthly habit of it, we always seems to forget about it but this week we were both craving for some dimsims so i didn't see why not except for the fact he has his exam this day after. We picked up some stuff on sale a General Pants while we were at it and were totally convinced by the asian guy working at Bing Lee to get the 7D, which will come later i hope. Fingers crossed! After dragging the tired boy around the whole place, we grabbed a couple of drinks and decided to head back to his place and he cooked like usual. I love it when he cooks for me :)

Surprised him yesterday after his one and only stressful exam, his mum made delicious marinated chicken and stir fry *drools*. We went to one of the hilltops near his place that i saw the other day on the bus when he was driving me home and it was amazing at night. It would have been even better if we were there when the sun was setting since you can see the horizon from there. Too bad i didn't have my camera with me :( We're going to La Perouse on monday after my last exam! :D

It's amazing that i've done over 100 entries already and it doesn't even feel like it's been that long ago since i changed the address of my blog and started all over again. I guess it's a good thing compared to when i changed blogs so often.

So it was totally random outing which came about when Anna asked if i wanted to join her, caroline, amy and mish on a trip to Chokolatta in bankstown. A little after 8PM, we arrived and got seated in one of the booths. We ordered marshmellow chocolates to chit chat along with whilst we waited for caroline to arrive and then came the waffles which were so rich and filling, that we none of us ended up finishing.

After that we took awhile figuring out where we wanted to go and ended up at Mounties in Cabramatta. Unfortunately, my silly self had forgotten to bring my id so the girls couldn't gamble their night away :( Sorry girlies! So we're going back very soon and this time i need to remember or else i am responsible for tripling caroline's winnings lol.

Mum's been making tea bag eggs and i still haven't gotten sick of them yet. Though they look simple to make, i've yet to learn how but will soon so they boy can have some more after he tried some tonight :D

KOREA WON THEIR FIRST MATCH! Woot, i'm so happy but should've went to the pub in korean town to join in with the hype. Next time! Now, i serioulsy need to get a move on with studying for my exams :(

Woke up to a fine yet lazy saturday, the rain finally stopped. Campsie food festival was on today, unexpectedly the boyfriend turned up when he was supposed to be at work. Turns out i was the reason he left half way through work, i feel like such a bad girlfriend even though i did very much enjoy his company. We munched on fish balls, fried dim sim, bbq pork buns and takoyaki. The food i thought was a bit disappointing this year although they did have poffertjes but we didn't have any. While we were there, you can notice that a lot of time has passed and things have changed. It felt like it was only yesterday when alot of us used to hang out at the annual event but now there's barely any familiar faces you could bump into.

I reckon i could fall asleep to this even on the roughest nights. I'm so worn out from today after spending last night and this morning to finish off my arts research paper then dropping it off in the pouring rain, getting all soaked from the knee down. I hate winter the most of all the seasons, it's so gloomy and wet that it can ruin your mood and to think that i used to say to everyone it's the best season to use the excuse to find someone to cuddle up to makes me think if there was something wrong with me. I've got one more media piece to do then all i've got to do is kill the exams then i'm free. There's so many things that i want to get done in the holidays, fingers crossed i'll be able to tick most of them off.

There's also some things i want to fume about but i don't see any point in doing that so i just have to look forward, take things one day at a time and hope for the best.

Caught the sniffles so I'm going to bed 'early' tonight while the boyfriend is already fast asleep to even get the chance to read my messages before the sun comes up. Oh well :(

Tutorials wrapped up today so yayers but nayers for finals coming up :( I also managed to fit in all my media tutes on to mondays so I will mostly need to head into to uni two days a week, not counting thursdays which two lectures take place on. Oh great, it's raining again #%$&@!

Felt like macarons today unfortunately we couldn't find any so Richard treated me to Pattison's again. Their raspberry cheesecake is divine but very filling and appleturn over tastes just as good! As much as i loathe milk, he convinced me to have my Earl Grey with some in it and i love it :D

Made my timetable but i'm still constantly checking to see if there are vacancies in the classes i originally wanted. I had them then when i click on enrol, both of them were full so now i have to go into uni on mondays, tuesday mornings, thursday afternoons and friday mornings. Thursday isn't very encouraging, it's full of lectures.

After much contemplating, i went to the Sass & Bide warehouse sale yesterday with Walia and walked out with my wallet empty and two pieces even though i managed to harvest a pile. Originally i decided to go grab some tees but then found these pieces. We got there at about 2:30PM and it was crazy packed,full of girls scouring racks and piles of clothing left behind by others. Oh, yes let's not forget the sight of girls changing in the open, it was probably heaven for guys who were there. It was like everyone found a bunch of gold and guarding the pile on the floor with their life, haha. Thinking of going back on Sunday before it wraps up to grab some bargains, to go or not to go is the question. Lunched at Ogalo near uni and headed to meet up with the boy on a hunt for black pants. When in doubt, always rely on Bettina Liano? Found a pair in the T by Bettina Liano on our last resort to look in Myer and they are gorgeous!

Been taking alot of trips into the city this week. I have something happening this week which im really excited about so hoping it goes really well *fingers crossed*.

My macbook made contact with the floor last night, i thought it died but it didn't. Then i realised i couldn't connect to the net at home or uni but it's working now so all is good :)

The past two days have been filled with disasters, nothing that really affected me but it just feels like so many unfortunate events are happening. Yesterday, i woke up to find mum mentioning something along the lines of the fruit shop being robbed by 5 people. Curious myself, i find out towards the end of the night thanks to my nifty iphone that it involved a shootout which was way the street was sealed in the morning on my way to uni. On the way to uni, the train got to central 30 minutes late making me miss out on my marketing lecture cause a train derailed right at central affecting four train lines and today whilst heading to the Apple store, we find that something in the demolition site on Pitt St had collapsed. Anything else going wrong i should know about?

On a positive note, the boy caught me by surprise today since i'm always complaining that i surprise him and he doesn't. Well he got me back today when he picked me up and placed a black bag on my lap. It was the knit jacket i really, really liked when we were at Portmans yesterday. We stocked up on Magnum Gold aswell :D Thank you baby <3 It's crazy how we're already talking about where we want to end up in 10 years time with careers, mortgages, baby names and everything but i love every bit of it :)

Can you believe that it's already Week 12? I definitely can't. I've been slacking off so much that i caved in and had a mental breakdown, wasn't very nice but i brought it on myself :( I've got three assessments left to go and finals which are coming up in the second half of June. Dreading it so much but looking forward to getting them over and done with cause i'll be free for awhile. We going to goto the Good Food And Wine Show but my stupid exams clashed with the dates. Better luck next year :(

Started watching some episodes of The City since i remember being told there was a behind-the-scenes PR aspect to it so hey why not? It's okay, not great but still worth watching. Lately i've been trying to imagine myself actually having a career in that field when i graduate. It's very exciting just thinking about it but the question is, if it's what i really want to do and will i even be able to get into this cut-throat industry? I guess i have to set my eyes on the prize and make it happen.

I ended up going on a journey with mum up to Stanhope Gardens yesterday to pay a visit to one of my distant aunties who just had a baby recently. He's so adorable, didn't want to put him down but he was tired and getting a bit distressed so we had to leave him alone and went for a round in the playground across the road. I've forgotten how relaxing it is on a swing, i feel like a kid again for a few moments. I had to rush home afterwards since Charles was holding his 21st BBQ. I had a good night even though the party wasn't going off until awhile after but it was a good opportunity to hang out with Richard and his friends. I didn't even have that much to drink but i was laughing so much over nothing. Kahlua is sooo nice, they called it the snicker bomb? Cake was delicious, i was sneaky enough to have 3 slices since no one was having any. I'm such a pig :D

I should be sleeping now to get up for my last marketing lecture in the morning but instead i'm dying for brunch in Darlinghurst, they do breakie all day and the food looks so damn yummy! All this MasterChef nonsense is making me very hungry. Sass and Bide sale this week and fingers crossed my timetable works out when i do it on thursday :D

If only i had $2000 spare change in my pockets, i'd go out and hunt this Proenza down seeing as most of them have been grabbed off the shelves/internet. Love the sea-blue colour! On the other hand, how good was it to catch up at Pumpkin on saturday with the girls in the cold :D I woke up early, prepared to make my timetable only to find out it's actually next thursday. Fingers crossed it get the timetable i have in mind especially since there's only 75 spots for the PR elective :)

Managed to pick up two posters from uni last week at the store they were holding in the Roundhouse. I didn't have enough time to look at all of them since Richard was waiting to pick me up outside so i ended up with one of Times Square and the one below. Now i need to get some frames for them.

My Cup Of Tea

Finally took the opportunity to sit down with the boyfriend and have some tea and coffee at Pattisons in TopRyde after spotting one in Chatswood. Never knew there was one in Hornsby too, that's one good thing to look forward to next time we're there. Their pastries are so damn good, craving for more mouthfuls of apple turnover, really need to go back soon.

Apple Turnover filled with cream, so yummy! Too bad I didn't get the cream sandwiched in on the photo since we were drooling too much to resist any longer.

This was the Napoleon slice, the biscuit was a bit too hard to break though.

Australian fashion kicked of this week and is on it's final day today so here's a few of the many pieces that caught my eye. NTS remember to sign up next year.. if i have time :D I really like this Carla Zampatti dress and, the Nicola Finetti and Alex Perry frocks here below. They look gorgeous. The Bassike pieces never seize to fail me, they're all basics and so versatile for everyday wear hence the brand name.
